One of the most important objectives of the Technical Secretariat of Competitiveness is to achieve a favorable business environment which gives consumers access to goods and services under conditions of greater equality. It also seeks the attraction and retention of foreign investment which helps generate a positive effect on employment and growth.
Among other goals, the Technical Secretariat of Competitiveness works to protect national production in terms of international trade. It also applies Mexican regulation in order to assure the internal market competitiveness.
An initiative for the Strengthening of Competition and Regulatory Improvement in Mexico
The aim is to drive competitiveness in Mexico, to improve the business environment through facilitating the opening, functioning and growth of businesses.

World Economic Forum
Mexico climbs eight places in WEF's Global Competitiveness Index.
The World Economic Forum today published its Annual Global Competitiveness Report 2011-2012, in which it establishes that Mexico climbed eight places, from 66 to 58, in the overall Global Competitiveness Index.
