The main sale from Mexico to Brazil in 2023 was Motor Cars and other Vehicles Principally Designed Cars for Transport of Persons (US$677M). The main origins of sales to Brazil were Ciudad de México (US$1.57B), Nuevo León (US$550M), and Jalisco (US$360M).

The main product bought by Mexico from Brazil in 2023 was Intermediate Products of Iron or Non-Alloy Steel (US$3.08B). The main destinations of purchases made to Brazil were Nuevo León (US$4.18B), Ciudad de México (US$3.79B), and Querétaro (US$749M).

In the period January to March 2024, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Brazil to Mexico is US$164M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from Brazil were Estado de México (US$53.4M), Hidalgo (US$33.8M), and Jalisco (US$25.4M).

Regarding remittances, in the first quarter of 2024, Mexico received US$6.57M in remittances from Brazil, while Brazil received US$1.2M in remittances from Mexico.

Finally, in terms of immigration to Mexico, 6,803 inmigrants from Brazil were registered in 2020, 45.7% women and 54.3% men. The states with the highest concentration of inmigrants from Brazil were Ciudad de México (1,498 people), Querétaro (702 people), and Baja California (690 people).

From January 1999 to March 2024, Mexico has received a total of US$7.41B in FDI from Brazil, distributed in equity capital (US$3.74B), reinvestment of earnings (US$2.08B), and inter-company debts (US$1.59B).
