In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $458B MX, 6.25% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2025, Motion Picture and Sound Recording Industries registered 1,542 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Ciudad de México (314), Estado de México (143), and Nuevo León (111).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  1,582 economic units were totaled in Motion Picture and Sound Recording Industries, highlighting Ciudad de México (346), Estado de México (157), and Nuevo León (105).
