The average age of Psychologists was 38.3 years. The workforce was distributed in 22.9% men with an average salary of $10.8k MX and, 77.1% women with average salary of $10.5k MX.

The best average salaries received by Psychologists were in Ciudad de México ($19.2k MX), Sonora ($15.2k MX), and Chihuahua ($14.5k MX) while the workforce was larger in Estado de México (31.5k), Ciudad de México (30.4k), and Nuevo León (8.68k).

In terms of industries, the best average salaries were in General Public Administration ($31.8k MX), Residential Care Facilities for Persons with Mental Retardation, Mental Disorder and Addictions ($16.3k MX), and Dental Offices ($12.7k MX), while the workforce was concentrated on Medical Doctors Offices (154k), Higher Technical Education Schools (24.4k), and Justice Administration and Security and Public Order Preservation (6.87%).

78.6% of the total informal workers correspond to women with an average salary of $6.76k MX and 21.4% to men with an average salary of $6.61k MX.

The states with the highest number of Psychologists during the first quarter of 2026 were Estado de México (31.5k), Ciudad de México (30.4k), and Nuevo León (8.68k)

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2026, the main positive variations occurred in Estado de México and Sonora with an increase of 5.04k (19%) and 2.22k (78.8%), respectively. On the other hand, the negative variations were accentuated in Ciudad de México and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave with a decrease of 5.64k (15.6%) and 3.7k (62%), respectively.
