The average age of Customs Brokers was 38.3 years. The workforce was distributed in 71.5% men with an average salary of $6.4k MX and, 28.5% women with average salary of $4.52k MX.

The best average salaries received by Customs Brokers were in Colima ($11.4k MX), Puebla ($11k MX), and Coahuila de Zaragoza ($10.2k MX) while the workforce was larger in Tamaulipas (4.95k), Jalisco (3.73k), and Baja California (3.66k).

In terms of industries, the best average salaries were in Repair and Maintenance of Automobiles and Trucks ($16.3k MX), Retail Trade of Automobiles and Pickup Trucks ($11.6k MX), and Beauty Salons and Clinics, Public Baths and Washrooms, and Shoeshine Shops ($10k MX), while the workforce was concentrated on Services Related to Air Transportation (39k), Beauty Salons and Clinics, Public Baths and Washrooms, and Shoeshine Shops (3.37k), and Retail Trade of Household Furniture and other Household Goods (3.09k).

In the same period, an average salary of $5.86k MX was observed, registering a drop of 25.5%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2023 ($7.87k MX).

The states with the highest number of Customs Brokers during the first quarter of 2024 were Tamaulipas (4.95k), Jalisco (3.73k), and Baja California (3.66k)

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2024, the main positive variations occurred in Yucatán and Querétaro with an increase of 528 (413%) and 354 (39.6%), respectively. On the other hand, the negative variations were accentuated in Estado de México and Ciudad de México with a decrease of 2.49k (52.8%) and 1.27k (26.3%), respectively.

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2024, the positive salary growth was higher in Baja California and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave with an increase of $3.13k MX (44.7%) and $2.48k MX (58.5%), respectively. Por otro lado, las variaciones salariales negativas se acentuaron en Coahuila de Zaragoza and Chihuahua with a decrease of $9.8k MX (49%) and $6.3k MX (40.5%), respectively.

The workforce of Customs Brokers during the first quarter of 2024 was higher in the age group with 25 to 34 years concentrating 9.37k workers of which 97.1% corresponds to formal employment (9.1k) and 2.85% to informal employment (267).

Regarding the schooling years, the workforce was higher in the range with 16 to 18 years of schooling concentrating 16k workers of which 87.2%  corresponds to formal employment (14k) and 12.8% corresponds to informal employment (2.05k).
