In the third quarter of 2025 the gross domestic product was $1.26T MX, 12.2% less than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2026, Fishing, Hunting and Trapping registered 18,949 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Oaxaca (3,003), Tabasco (3,001), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (2,119).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $22.3B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Sinaloa ($4.11B MX) and Sonora ($3.18B MX).

For its part, total income reached $23.3B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Sinaloa ($4.58B MX) and Sonora ($3.31B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Fishing, Hunting and Trapping the states with the highest affinity were Sonora (0.78), Colima (0.7), Sinaloa (0.7), Baja California Sur (0.7), and Chihuahua (0.69).

During the first quarter of 2026 in Fishing, Hunting and Trapping the workforce was 246k people, 93.1% men and 6.85% women. In addition, the average monthly salary informed was $7.79k MX.

During the same period, occupations with the highest number of workers in Fishing, Hunting and Trapping were Workers in Fisheries, Support Workers in Aquaculture and Fisheries, and Workers in the Preparation of Meat Products, Fish and Fish Products.

In the first quarter of 2026, the workforce in Fishing, Hunting and Trapping it was of 246k people, 93.1% men with a reported average monthly salary of $8.16k MX and 6.85% women with a salary of $2.74k MX.

Of the total employed population, 14.7% of the total workforce were formal workers with an average monthly salary of $10.8k MX, while he 85.3% corresponds to informal workers with an average salary of $7.27k MX.

In the third quarter of 2025, Agriculture, Animal Production, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting recorded a gross domestic product of $1.26T MX, evidencing a drop of 12.2% compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 2.23% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  19,627 economic units were totaled in Fishing, Hunting and Trapping, highlighting Oaxaca (3,553), Tabasco (2,875), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (2,090).

Total gross production was $22.3B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Sinaloa ($4.11B MX) and Sonora ($3.18B MX).

Total income reached $23.3B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Sinaloa ($4.58B MX) and Sonora ($3.31B MX).
