The average age of Workers in Agriculture was 49.2 years. The workforce was distributed in 88.5% men with an average salary of $2.62k MX and, 11.5% women with average salary of $3.73k MX.

The best average salaries received by Workers in Agriculture were in Baja California Sur ($9.9k MX), Sonora ($8.13k MX), and Colima ($7.12k MX) while the workforce was larger in Chiapas (413k), Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (367k), and Oaxaca (278k).

In terms of industries, the best average salaries were in Employment Services ($8.82k MX), Retail Trade of Groceries and Food ($8.19k MX), and General Public Administration ($6.25k MX), while the workforce was concentrated on Employment Services (4.36k), Cattle Raising (25.7%), and Retail Trade of Computer Furniture, Equipment and Accessories; Telephones and other Communication Devices (2.76k).

At the level of states, Tamaulipas had the highest percentage of informal workers with 90.7% corresponding to 28.6k from 31.5k workers, while the state with the lowest percentage of informal workers was Nuevo León with a 54.3% corresponding to 6.3k from 11.6k workers.

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2025, the main positive variations occurred in Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave and Estado de México with an increase of 43.3k (13.4%) and 39.7k (23.9%), respectively. On the other hand, the negative variations were accentuated in Guerrero and Puebla with a decrease of 47.8k (18.9%) and 32k (14.6%), respectively.

Regarding the schooling years, the workforce was higher in the range with 4 to 6 years of schooling concentrating 910k workers of which 14.8%  corresponds to formal employment (134k) and 85.2% corresponds to informal employment (776k).
