In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $778B MX, 2.32% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2025, Special Food Services registered 4,343 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Nuevo León (373), Estado de México (365), and Ciudad de México (305).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $12.4B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($2.34B MX) and Chihuahua ($1.44B MX).

For its part, total income reached $12.6B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($2.36B MX) and Chihuahua ($1.44B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Special Food Services the states with the highest affinity were Chihuahua (0.75), Nuevo León (0.73), Sonora (0.73), Coahuila de Zaragoza (0.72), and Baja California (0.69).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  2,493 economic units were totaled in Special Food Services, highlighting Estado de México (230), Ciudad de México (221), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (192).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Special Food Services had a total of 3,726 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Guadalajara (114), Mérida (111), and León (108)

Total income eached $35.7B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Miguel Hidalgo ($3.99B MX), Carmen ($3.77B MX), and Cuauhtémoc ($2.61B MX).

Total expenditures were $23.5B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Miguel Hidalgo ($2.86B MX), Monterrey ($2.02B MX), and Carmen ($1.95B MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 100281 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Miguel Hidalgo (7.63k), Juárez (7.37k), and Monterrey (7.12k).
