The workforce of Industrial Designers during first quarter of 2026 was 17.7k people, whose salary averaged $11k MX working around 40.6 hours per week.

The average age of Industrial Designers was 32.3 years. The workforce was distributed in 72.4% men with an average salary of $10.8k MX and, 27.6% women with average salary of $11.4k MX.

The best average salaries received by Industrial Designers were in Quintana Roo ($30k MX), Zacatecas ($30k MX), and Chihuahua ($24.6k MX) while the workforce was larger in Estado de México (4.15k), Guanajuato (3.24k), and Nuevo León (2.07k).

In terms of industries, the best average salaries were in Natural Gas Supply through Mains to Final Consumers ($30k MX), Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance ($9.89k MX), and Legal Services ($9.03k MX), while the workforce was concentrated on Legal Services (6.67k), Retail Trade of Hardware and Glass (1.93k), and Natural Gas Supply through Mains to Final Consumers (436).

33.3% of the total informal workers correspond to women with an average salary of $9.29k MX and 66.7% to men with an average salary of $3.92k MX.

At the level of states, Zacatecas had the highest percentage of informal workers with 100% corresponding to 68 from 68 workers, while the state with the lowest percentage of informal workers was Nuevo León with a 20.9% corresponding to 433 from 2.07k workers.

At first quarter of 2026, the people who worked as Industrial Designers were 17.7k being a 13.5% higher than the fourth quarter of 2025. (15.6k).

In the same period, an average salary of $11k MX was observed, registering an increase of 61.2%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2025 ($6.81k MX).

The states with the highest number of Industrial Designers during the first quarter of 2026 were Estado de México (4.15k), Guanajuato (3.24k), and Nuevo León (2.07k)

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2026, the main positive variations occurred in Guanajuato and Estado de México with an increase of 2.35k (264%) and 1.76k (73.5%), respectively. On the other hand, the negative variations were accentuated in Ciudad de México and Jalisco with a decrease of 1.54k (61.4%) and 968 (36.5%), respectively.

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2026, the positive salary growth was higher in Zacatecas and Estado de México with an increase of $15k MX (99.3%) and $11.2k MX (299%), respectively. Por otro lado, las variaciones salariales negativas se acentuaron en San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes with a decrease of $30.1k MX (100%) and $4.98k MX (77.6%), respectively.

At first quarter of 2026, the workforce was higher in Legal Services (70.6%), Retail Trade of Hardware and Glass (20.4%), and Natural Gas Supply through Mains to Final Consumers (4.62%).

The workforce of Industrial Designers during the first quarter of 2026 was higher in the age group with 25 to 34 years concentrating 7.16k workers of which 100% corresponds to formal employment (7.16k) and 92.3% to formal employment (4.34k).

Regarding the schooling years, the workforce was higher in the range with 16 to 18 years of schooling concentrating 12.6k workers of which 87%  corresponds to formal employment (11k) and 13% corresponds to informal employment (1.65k).
