The workforce of Industrial Designers during first quarter of 2025 was 14.7k people, whose salary averaged $8.83k MX working around 35.7 hours per week.

The average age of Industrial Designers was 35.9 years. The workforce was distributed in 74.5% men with an average salary of $8.45k MX and, 25.5% women with average salary of $9.97k MX.

The best average salaries received by Industrial Designers were in Colima ($40k MX), Oaxaca ($32.1k MX), and Baja California ($25.7k MX) while the workforce was larger in Nuevo León (3.15k), Querétaro (1.9k), and Guanajuato (1.84k).

In terms of industries, the best average salaries were in Retail Trade of Household Furniture and other Household Goods ($12k MX), Waste Collection ($10.8k MX), and Legal Services ($5.79k MX), while the workforce was concentrated on Legal Services (5.51k), Residential Building Construction (1.21k), and Accounting, Auditing and Related Services (1.19k).

33% of the total informal workers correspond to women with an average salary of $1.41k MX and 67% to men with an average salary of $2.94k MX.

At the level of states, Puebla had the highest percentage of informal workers with 100% corresponding to 216 from 216 workers, while the state with the lowest percentage of informal workers was Guanajuato with a 9.72% corresponding to 179 from 1.84k workers.

At first quarter of 2025, the people who worked as Industrial Designers were 14.7k being a 1.59% higher than the fourth quarter of 2024. (14.5k).

In the same period, an average salary of $8.83k MX was observed, registering a drop of 22.9%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2024 ($11.5k MX).

The states with the highest number of Industrial Designers during the first quarter of 2025 were Nuevo León (3.15k), Querétaro (1.9k), and Guanajuato (1.84k)

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2025, the main positive variations occurred in Nuevo León and Jalisco with an increase of 1.84k (140%) and 895 (97.3%), respectively. On the other hand, the negative variations were accentuated in Ciudad de México and Puebla with a decrease of 1.02k (66.7%) and 669 (75.6%), respectively.

The states with the best average salaries for Industrial Designers during first quarter of 2025 were Colima ($40k MX), Oaxaca ($32.1k MX), and Baja California ($25.7k MX)

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2025, the positive salary growth was higher in Baja California and Hidalgo with an increase of $21k MX (439%) and $6.64k MX (55.4%), respectively. Por otro lado, las variaciones salariales negativas se acentuaron en Nuevo León and Tamaulipas with a decrease of $21.8k MX (100%) and $18k MX (100%), respectively.

The workforce of Industrial Designers during the first quarter of 2025 was higher in the age group with 25 to 34 years concentrating 6.67k workers of which 89.6% corresponds to formal employment (5.97k) and 10.4% to informal employment (694).

Regarding the schooling years, the workforce was higher in the range with 16 to 18 years of schooling concentrating 9.17k workers of which 90.7%  corresponds to formal employment (8.31k) and 9.35% corresponds to informal employment (857).
