According DENUE 2024, Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Commercialization of Electric Power, Water and Natural Gas Supply by Pipelines to the Final Consumer registered 10,645 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Estado de México (1,439), Oaxaca (885), and Ciudad de México (638).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $646B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($320B MX) and Nuevo León ($86.1B MX).

For its part, total income reached $862B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($517B MX) and Nuevo León ($88.6B MX).

According to the age of the economic units, the distribution of those that obtained financing was 20% of the recently created (up to 2 years) units, 7.95% of the youth (3 to 5 years) units, 8.83% of the adults (6 to 10 years) units, and 5.09% of the seniors (over 10 years) units.
